Bad Boys. 1995, 2003, 2020 and now 2024. Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett have been through quite the journey together running down all manner of those who would seek to do harm to others. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is pretty much what you'd expect from a Bad Boys film- Tons of action, a few character moments, Michael Bay in a Porsche, comedy stylings of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, and more Reggie- who has the best action scene in the whole film as it feels like it draws inspiration from John Wick.

Anne Hathaway is terrific in this very well written and smart drama / romance. She plays a 40-year old single mom who falls for and begins a romance with a 24-year old lead singer of a boy band. There is trope and predictable here but also real and raw- probably owed to the R rating.

A very good continuation of the story, set hundreds of years after Caesar, in a dystopian future where Apes have become almost human and most humans have become like wild animals, running in packs and largely without speech. It's well worth a trip to the theater, even if just for the excellent visuals.
