070 - GOAT, Dir. Tyree Dilly / Adam Rosette
Sony Pictures Animation Studio has some really wonderful movies under it's belt, namely 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and 2023's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as well as 2021's The Mitchells vs the Machines. All three are pretty excellent movies with emphasis on 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse bringing Sony Pictures Animations back into the scope of being a major player in the animation space once again.
GOAT shares the distinct style and unique visual presentation of the previously mentioned as well as some interesting character designs with some of the strong writing and story beats. GOAT is certainly odd in its approach but looks amazing and comes together as a movie, though not as the overall quality package as some others. Kids will love it though!

Chris Hemsworth leads this great star studded cast as a thief looking to make one last big score so he can be out of the game and safe financially. He sets his sights on an insurance agent (Halle Berry) to help him as a Detective (Mark Ruffalo) gets closer and closer to solving the case.
Great cast, great music, and great action. You'll be sorry to miss this on the big screen.

068 - Dracula, Dir. Luc Besson
Dracula- A monster who has been floating around in legend and lore for hundreds of years. Historians can trace the origins back to Vlad The Impaler from the 15th century Europe. Similarly, we have many books and media with different version of Dracula and his origins. This version follows the novel more closely with a great cast and a slightly different, more romantic Dracula featured. Don't forget the '92 version from Francis Ford Coppola.

Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson lead the cast in this story where, in the near future, crime is judged by an AI Judge- the alleged guilty must prove their innocence in 90 minutes or less while strapped to the chair that will be the tool of execution if found guilty. Is it just Minority Report in Los Angeles? Yes. Is it strong enough to stand on its own? Have a listen to find out.

065 - 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Dir. Nia DaCosta
In 2002, 28 Days Later made Zombies scary again. They were faster, more relentless, and stronger than any other franchise, redefining what made "Zombies" scary. With a low budget, Danny Boyle was able to create a very scary atmosphere with a wonderful cast of characters with a wonderful end sequence with an iconic score thats stretched over every film since. 2007 brought us 28 Weeks Later with a bigger budget and larger scope of the outbreak with a bigger cast and more action.
2025 brings us 28 Years later- the first film in a planned Trilogy that rewrites some of the rules of the universe and undoes much of the good that the original gave us. 2026 brings us The Bone Temple- a very divisive 2nd installment in the 28 Years Later Trilogy. What did you think- Does The Bone Temple carry the Legacy of the 28 Franchise well or not?

064 - Greenland 2: Migration
Greenland (2020) was such a surprise, even more so because of the Pandemic. It's a movie that understands what it was trying to be very well- a very emotional yet action packed story about a family who found each other again who fight to stay together amidst a world ending event. It's a story of survival and hope in the face of tremendous loss. The score by David Buckley was excellent is capturing the haunting and tragic side of humanity as it fell apart- most notably people forced to say goodbye to one another, knowing an impending doom was close behind.
Enter Greenland 2: Migration which did none of this even remotely as well as the original. It's a hollowed out, poorly researched, and soulless version of what should have been another haunting tale of survival and hope. 2026 deserved to start off better than what this movie allows for. Disappointment, thy name is Greenland 2: Migration.
