Game of Thrones redefined episodic television and had a pretty consistent high quality throughout, with a caveat at the end. GoT brought back "water cooler" chat on Monday morning in the office discussing the wonderful narrative thread and characters- both rich in detail and on a very sliding scale of likability. House of the Dragon is much the same. Set less than 200 years before the events of GoT, HotD is building the world which we have seen previous for 8 years and it does a wonderful job so far.
