Gerard Butler. Zack Snyder's "300" comes to mind for almost everyone when they hear that name. What come's next? Probably Mike Banning in Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen. What's next? Any number of action films. "Plane" is no different. A well written, well executed action movie that keeps you hooked and has a twist or two. You get the deep and gravely Scottish voice with the on screen presence that you've come to expect.

Tom Hanks is always a force to be reckoned with as A Man Called Otto plays to Hank's strengths while still offering an interesting look into a character we don't see often. A film about loss, friendship, hope and opening yourself up, Otto will absolutely have you reaching for a Kleenex or two.

Netflix CAN do something right now and again. The Pale Blue Eye is one of those things. A very literate and smart script headed up with Christian Bale and Harry Melling delivers what is a very exciting pre Civil War detective story with Edgar Allen Poe when he was a cadet at West Point. Harry Milling steals the show from Bale, which is damn impressive.

M3GAN is surely to be a cult classic, if is int already. James Wan and Blumhouse sure have cracked the code for both horror and saucy, fun horror, which is great! M3GAN is also a cautionary tale of what may happen when we let AI get too far ahead of us. Scary in a way. Scary but fun!

Noah Baumbach is known to make some pretty off the wall stuff. White Noise has to take the cake, as that is concerned. Adapted from a novel about a family attempting to deal with everyday things whilst also dealing with the emotions and uncertainty. Interesting, Yes? Adam Driver is great, as always and the supporting cast also is terrific. Some ingredients in this cauldron just don't blend well with others, unfortunately.
