James McAvoy plays a wonderful deranged crazy person. If you've seen the trailer you know what youre getting into. Speak No Evil is a solid watch with some solid performances though the movie is a little short on logic and good decisions, horror movie tropes be damned.

Another day, another Netflix film that falls short.
The Deliverance is a possession film, a film about a mom who is barely holding a family together, and a human interest drama with a low budget family and a social worker all smashed together to make a film with a final few minutes that will leave just about anyone very unsatisfied.

The Juice is loose, baby! Beetlejuice is back decades later with another successful 30(+) years later sequel with much of the same cast, story continuation and themes. It is financially a hit and very successful. But is it enough to get that critical acclaim? We think not, but only just. It is, however, a very fun Beetlejuice film so how can we complain? Ronald Reagan is a president most people know by name, picture, and sound bite. He had more than a few very important decisions to make while in the White House and, sadly, this film doesn't cover all of those defining moments as it is based on a 2006 book, "The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism." As always- we do suggest watching this but know that this film takes a handful of jelly beans when it wanted to take just a few of one color.

Jackpot! is what you think a higher budget comedy about a lottery winner who must survive until a certain time to claim her winnings would be- it's written poorly at best, very few of the jokes land, and plot holes so big, you can drive a semi truck though- but it does have a hearty chuckle or two. John Reno is, as always, the best part of this. Hands down.

The Crow (1994) is a film that probably should never have been touched after the 90's and very early 2000's. It's remembered first for infamy and tragedy on set. It's with a heavy heart that we find this updated version (2024) to be lacking in many ways, unfortunately. There are some good things, though!
